| SUSPECT ARRESTED IN YOUTH'S MURDER
6/26/09- 18 year old Christopher Oliverez of Big Spring was arrested by authorities this week in Lamesa,TX and charged in the shooting death of 16 year old Justin Hernandez, who was shot in the head during a dispute on Cardinal Street in Big Spring May 30th. He is in the Howard County Jail on a $750,000 bond. No further details have been released as to what led investigators to the suspect. A 17 year old boy was also injured in the May 30 shooting.

6/15/09- The carport of this home in the 1200 block of Sycamore in BigSpring was the scene of a homicide early Monday morning. Police say theyhave the husband of the victim in custody. Tommy Gutierrez is charged inthe shotgun murder of Patricia Gutierrez. A motive has not been released.(Photo KBST News)
